The indictment was amazingly easy reading! It lays out the information so clearly, and the amount of detail included made it easy to understand why the case was brought. I have serious concerns about how this will play out. It is absolutely essential for the good of the Republic that the case go to trial and the process plays out the way our system provides. I PRAY a jury finds him guilty and that he faces an appropriate consequence for the danger he has exposed our country to, but I fear, given the deference already displayed in today's arraignment, this will not happen. I fully expect he will be allowed to delay the trial until it will interfere with the election, and it will come to a standstill. I hope the other major cases continue full steam ahead and look forward to additional indictments. Thank you for your clear summary of the situation, Connie!

Debbie, Thanks so much for your amazing comments! I agree the indictment made for easy and clear reading. I've read through it several times and find it a compelling snapshot into Trump's criminality. I wonder if the deference shown to Trump at the arraignment was for the purpose of sending the message, "Hey, look, we're not treating this man unfairly!" If so, I believe we shouldn't. Such niceties are never appreciated by Trump. So we get nothing in return for expanding or ignoring our norms, as Trump is beyond acknowledging any forms of civility or kindness in his "burn it all down" world.

Again, thanks so much for commenting. Sadly, we'll be talking about these issues for many months to come -- the fewer the better, of course.
